Lyon. "It's your turn": the regional final of the piano competition stops at Part-Dieu station

In the car for the music. Lyon Part-Dieu station will vibrate to the rhythm of the notes this Tuesday, May 6, for the regional final of the national piano competition "À vous de jouer." Organized by SNCF Gares & Connexions and its partners, a call for applications was launched at the end of January on social media. The goal of the event: to reveal new piano talents.
The candidates, Amateurs and professionals had until April 21 to share a video, via Instagram, of their performance on the pianos placed in different stations, and hope to be selected for the first phase of the competition.
From the many applications, a Yamaha jury then selected eight finalists per region. In Lyon, they will perform in public this Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., performing the piece of their choice. The finalists will be André Manoukian , Julie Gayet , and Jean Cotro – winner of the first edition of the competition – to decide between them.
The winner of this Lyon stage will participate in the grand national final in Paris on June 20. Up for grabs: a Yamaha piano, a studio recording session, and the opportunity to perform as an opening act at a French festival.
